Christmas Break is here!

In town for Christmas break, and looking for something to do?  Here’s what Kaleo College Ministry has going on:

  • Sunday mornings: The Path, at 9:30 AM.  Bible study, small-group discussion, and a delicious breakfast.  We will be meeting every Sunday but Christmas Day and January 1.
  • Wednesday evenings: Bible study in the College Building at 7.  We will not be meeting on 12/28.
  • SOCCER/FRISBEE: Sunday, the 18th, at 2 PM.  We’ll meet at MC on the Quad.
  • Food Pantry: Monday nights at 6 PM at the Morrison Drive campus (map here).  Counsel, pack food, help people find clothes.  Take some time to minister to your community!

There are plenty of places to get involved this break.  We hope to see you around!

Classy Christmas Party!

Final reminder!  The Kaleo Classy Christmas party is tomorrow (Wednesday) night at 7 PM.  Come looking classy.  If you’re still not sure what to wear, check out our facebook page for some ideas.

Hope to see you there!

Mission Arlington, March 10-17, 2012

Every Spring Break thousands of students from around the country descend on the Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex to join the work of Mission Arlington. Last year over sixty teams led Rainbow Express (Mission Arlington’s version of backyard Bible club) at over one hundred apartment complexes in the area.

If you’re looking for a comfortable, laid-back Spring Break, this is not the trip for you. Mission Arlington is a high-energy, outside-your-comfort-zone, am-I-still-in-America kind of experience.

Email us and let us know you’re interested.

Estimated cost: $165 per person (Final cost depends on the number of participants, and should be determined by February 1, 2012.)

Deposit: $100 due Wednesday, February 1, 2012.

Secret Church Weekend, this weekend!

Ready for a weekend in New Orleans, full of good people, good Bible study, and good homeless ministry?

I hope so, because that weekend is THIS WEEKEND!

It isn’t too late to sign up!  Just come to Mid-week worship the Wednesday night and bring your payment ($45).  If you can’t make it to church, then just let us know you’re coming so we can hold a spot for you.

We will meet at the church at 1 PM Friday, November 4th, and then hop in the church buses and head to New Orleans.  For a full itinerary, head over to this webpage here.

We’ll be staying in dorms rooms, so here’s a packing list for the weekend:

  • Clothes. Usually a good idea.
  • Bedding. This includes sheets, pillows, etc.
  • A towel.
  • Shoes for walking.  We’ll probably be outside for our mission project Saturday, so plan accordingly.
  • Sunday church clothes. We’ll go to an area church Sunday morning, so bring something that is Sunday morning church appropriate (whatever that means nowadays).

We’re excited about the things God is going to do this weekend.  Hope to see you there!
